Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data Finterest (finterest.ai) collects when you use our website and our Telegram agent, why, and what you can do about it. Questions or requests: finterestai@gmail.com.

What we collect

  • Your Telegram account details. When you start the agent or tap a button such as Watch or Analyze, Telegram shares your numeric user ID, username and first name with us. We do not see your phone number or contacts. Reading the public channel does not share your identity with us.
  • How you use the agent. The companies on your watchlist, the alerts we have sent you (which filing and when), your trial dates, your daily count of AI summaries, and whether delivery to you is failing (for example, because you blocked the agent).
  • Subscription details. If you subscribe, the email, name and optional phone number (with country dial code) you enter, your plan and its status, and the payment records Stripe sends us (amount, currency, status and the billing contact details Stripe includes). Card details go straight to Stripe; we never receive or store your card number.
  • Website analytics, only if you allow it. If you choose Allow analytics, Google Analytics receives the pages you view, device and browser information and an approximate location, and sets its cookies. We never send it Telegram IDs, names or payment details. Without your consent, or if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, no analytics data is collected.
  • Server logs. Our servers log requests and errors. A website request log records your IP address, the page requested, the time, your browser or app (user agent) and the referring site; bot activity can include your Telegram user ID. We use these logs only to keep the service running and secure and to count traffic in aggregate (for example, how many visits come from search engines or AI assistants). We do not use them to identify or profile you, combine them with your account, or sell or share them, and sign-in tokens in links are removed before anything is logged.

Why we use it

To provide the service you ask for (your watchlist, alerts and AI summaries), to run your trial and subscription, to send occasional service and product updates through the agent, to answer support requests, to keep the service secure and working, and, with your consent, to understand which pages and links bring visitors. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

  • Google Cloud, which hosts our servers, database, files and logs.
  • Telegram, which delivers our messages to you.
  • Stripe, which processes payments and manages billing.
  • Google Analytics, only if you allow analytics.
  • AI model providers, which summarise company filings. They only receive the text of public company documents, never your personal data.

These providers may process data in countries other than yours. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your account, watchlist, the history of alerts sent to you, and your subscription and payment records until you ask us to delete them. Alert messages already in your Telegram chat stay there until you delete them, and Stripe keeps its own payment records as the law requires. Company filings and our pages about them are public information and are kept indefinitely. Server logs are kept for a limited period, normally about 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it. Email finterestai@gmail.com from any address and include your Telegram username so we can find your account. We may ask you to confirm the request through the agent. Deletion removes your account, watchlist, alert history, usage counts, and subscription and payment records from our database. Cancel any active subscription first, or ask us to.

You can withdraw analytics consent at any time with Analytics preferences in the site footer (shown when analytics is enabled). This also removes the analytics cookies.

If you are in the UK, you have rights under the UK GDPR, including the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. If you are in India, you have rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and can raise a grievance with us at the email above.

Cookies

We set no cookies of our own. Google Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_…) are set only after you choose Allow analytics, and expire after 180 days. Your analytics choice itself is remembered in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie. The subscribe page uses Telegram's login button, and checkout and billing happen on Stripe's site; those services may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top. For significant changes we may also let you know through the agent.
